Signing In to AutomatR Bot

Here's a brief procedure for AutomatR Bot setup, and running an automation flow:

Prerequisites

  1. Visit the AutomatR Accounts portal and download AutomatR Studio and AutomatR Bot component.

  2. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install AutomatR Studio and Bot on your computer.

  3. Launch AutomatR Studio and activate it using your AutomatR account credentials. Ensure that your license is correctly configured.

  4. Configure the connection between AutomatR Studio/Bot and Orchestrator as per your requirements for centralized management.

Setting Up a Flow in AutomatR Studio

  1. Open an existing automation workflow or create a new one in AutomatR Studio.

  2. Give your project a meaningful name, and choose the appropriate location to save it.

  3. Design and configure the automation steps using AutomatR Studio.

  4. Set up input data sources and define variables as needed for your automation process. These variables can be used to store and manipulate data within the workflow.

  5. Utilize AutomatR activities to build your automation flow. Drag and drop activities onto the design canvas and configure their properties to interact with applications, files, and data.

  6. Test the automation flow by running it in debugging mode. Use breakpoints and inspect variables to ensure the workflow functions as intended.

  7. Once you've designed and configured your workflow, click "Save" to save the project with an appropriate name. This project file will contain your automation workflow.

Setting Up the AutomatR Orchestrator

  1. Access the AutomatR Orchestrator platform and sign in to it.

  2. Navigate to the "Flows" Tab and create a new Flow that matches the name you used for your project in AutomatR Studio. This Flow will serve as the container for your automation workflow. For more details, refer Create a Flow section.

Signing into AutomatR Bot

Here's a detailed procedure for signing in AutomatR Bot, considering the steps you provided:

  1. Locate the AutomatR Bot application on your computer and launch it by double-clicking the application icon.

  2. Upon launching AutomatR Bot, you will be prompted to the Sign-In screen with two options: Sign In and Offline Activation.

  3. To sign in to your AutomatR account, follow these steps:

    • In the provided field, type the Hub URL associated with your AutomatR account.

    • Once you've entered the Hub URL, click the Sign In button to proceed.

  4. After clicking Sign In, a default web browser will open, displaying the AutomatR Login screen. Follow these steps to log in:

    • Provide your registered Email address and Password associated with your AutomatR account in the respective fields.

    • Once you've entered your credentials, click the Login button to authenticate your account.

  5. After successful login, you will be directed to a screen where you need to Select a Tenant from the available options. Follow these steps:

    • Review the list of available Tenants and choose the appropriate one for your use case by clicking on it.
  6. Upon selecting the Tenant, a confirmation message will appear on the screen indicating that your authentication was successful.

    • A pop-up dialog will display with the option to Open AutomatR. You can proceed by clicking this option.

    Or

    • If you prefer to open AutomatR Bot manually or if the pop-up is closed accidentally, the Authentication Successful screen will also provide a link to open Bot. You can manually open AutomatR Bot by clicking the link.
  7. After clicking Open AutomatR, the AutomatR Bot application will open, and you will be presented with the Available Bots list. Follow these steps:

    • Review the list of available Bots and choose the Bot that aligns with your intended automation tasks.

    • Once you've choosen a Bot, click the Run button located beside it to initiate the AutomatR Bot application.

  8. After clicking Run, AutomatR Bot will open and display the available Flows. You are now ready to execute automation workflows.

Running the Automation Flow

  1. Once you launch AutomatR Bot on the machine where you installed it, you can able to see the list of Flows under the available workspace.

  2. Locate the workflow you want to run. It should be visible under the available workspace.

  3. Choose on the workflow in AutomatR Bot and click Run. This will trigger the execution of your automation flow.

  4. As the workflow runs, you can monitor its progress in AutomatR Bot. You'll see information about the current step, execution status, and any errors encountered.

  5. After the automation flow completes, review the results and ensure that the desired tasks have been executed correctly. Address any errors or issues that may have occurred during execution.

You have successfully signed in to AutomatR Bot. By following these steps, you can successfully install AutomatR Studio and Bot, set up your automation flow, run it using AutomatR Bot, and optionally manage and monitor the process through AutomatR Orchestrator. This allows you to create, execute, and manage automated workflows efficiently and effectively. You are now ready to use the application.


AutomatR Orchestrator Integration (if applicable)

  1. AutomatR Orchestrator is a centralized bot management, you can schedule and trigger bot executions, monitor performance, and manage assets and credentials from the AutomatR Orchestrator dashboard.

  2. In AutomatR Orchestrator, schedule automation jobs to run at specific times or trigger them manually. Configure input data and parameters as needed.

  3. Track the status of jobs in AutomatR Orchestrator, and receive notifications and alerts in case of errors or issues during execution.

  4. Utilize AutomatR Orchestrator's logging and analytics features to analyze bot performance and identify areas for improvement.
